Healing the Wounds of Our Past

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their woundsGreat is our Lord, and mighty in power …” Psalm 147:3

“My child, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22

As Christians, we all know that life is not a bed of roses.  Some of us are still caught up from the thorns that left our hearts scarred. The thorns which we chose to hide from others and even from God.  Today, May 28,2009, I now consider,as one of the highlights of my christian life. A lot of ugly and deep thorns have been pulled out by God.* sigh*

I had this very meaningful conversation with my mom this morning. To share this openness with her is really God’s grace. How many young people nowadays are able to share their feelings and thoughts to their parents face to face? I know a lot who couldn’t and who wouldn’t.

Some young people think that opening their hearts to their parents would only make things worst. GUILT , REJECTION and CONDEMNATION leave them to this hanging state. What they don’t know is that GRACE AND HEALING are waiting on the other side of the door.

Brothers and sisters, sharing what’s in your heart to someone you really love and trust is one of the steps towards healing the wounds of your past.

Surrender to God First and He will put things back to their proper places.

Sharing Your Life’s Testimony

“John came to declare the truth about the light so that everyone

would become believers through his message.” – John 1:7

These are powerful images showing God’s captivating grace.

To see the intensify youth gather together, give everything they have, surrender their whole selves before the throne of God and cry out all their praises and worship to the King is indeed beautiful.

Just the thought of it, makes me shiver.  Our God is alive!  The Universe-Making God will never stop doing miracles, everyday! He provides for us everyday, takes care of us everyday, forgives us everyday, heals us everyday and loves us everyday. The whole world needs to know How God extends His hands of grace to your life and you can do that by sharing your testimony to others.

How has God become real and alive in our lives? One of the most effective means of being used of the Holy Spirit is to tell others what Jesus Christ has done in your life. It’s easier for people to receive from the Holy Spirit what you’ve got to say to them once they know what God has delivered you out of and from.

Why Share your testimony?

  • Give God the glory! When we testify of the things God has done in our lives, it is a form of praise and worship.  We are saying to the whole world, “It is not I who is great – It is Christ who is great in me!”  It turns everyones attention to the Lord and shows them His greatness.
  • Refuse to forget! When God brings us through a trial, as time passes, we can forget how much He has done.  Many Christians who have served the Lord for years do not remember the shape they were in when He first rescued them.  Telling your testimony humbles you as you recount God’s grace and mercy in your life.  It reminds you where your life would be if not for God’s matchless mercy and grace.
  • Inspire others! Your Christian testimony may be just what someone needs to weather their toughest storm. We have all been through trials.  And many of the battles God has already brought you through are being fought by other Christians even as you read these words.  When they read your story of victory through Christ, they know that He can do the same miracles in their lives.
  • Build your faith! If you are going through a trial, one of the best ways to build your faith is to think of something God has already brought you through.  It reminds you of His faithfulness in the past and gives you the strength to have faith for your future.

Sharing your testimony points everything to God.  It’s not all about you afterall. It’s not just your story but it is God’s story of grace.  We should not be ashamed to share our pains and mistakes from the past because what’s important is where God has put us today.

We are all called to spread the Word of Grace using our STORY.

God Provides: Intensify Youth Camp

Today, we finally sealed the envelope. It’s done. We have finally reached the amount to be donated. Rj and I both felt this unexplainable bliss.  G-R-A-C-E. This is the first time I actually raised that amount of money for God because I never thought I could.  It really takes one big leap of faith. The recession that’s happening around the world should not hinder our FAITH that God will provide for our needs. He is our Maker, our Father, will He ever forsake us?

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing,  yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.  And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’  These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.  So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”Matthew 6 verses 25 to 34

The money we earned from Ukay for a Cause belongs to God.

This is GRACE. Every money we earn is not ours, but God’s. He gives us GRACE everyday not just in the form of money but a hug, a rain, a kiss of sunshine, a mother’s advice will do.

The Smiling Sky

If you are going through a lot of whirlwinds in your life right now and finding a reason to live another day is slowly fading… just look at the sky.

We were on our way to Baguio when God gave us this ONE BIG SMILE from heaven.  We’ve been traveling around the country for several times now and been capturing a lot of breathtaking sceneries, but this one was really different. This is totally different. This is God, smiling at us. This is our Father giving us a sign of hope and joy. This is our Creator reaching out to us, letting us feel His warmth presence, saying “I am here, I’m just here. I’m watching you day and night. I’m keeping you at the palms of my hands. Be still my child. Be still.”

This wasn’t the first time our Lord smiled at us. Who can ever forget the night when the stars and the moon aligned forming a perfect smile? Coincidence? No, it was a gift for all of us.

GRACE ONCE CAPTURED.

Psalm 19:1–2 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.”
