“Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts.”

Isaiah 26:8

1. Religion tells you to do this and do that and try and try and try and try and try to be good enough… but you’ll never be. Why? Because our hearts are sick. But God did what we cannot do for ourselves and that’s GRACE.=)

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

2. We are all little seeds. Our lives remain meaningless not until we decide to leave our comfort zones (fame, money, career etc.)and bury ourselves into the ground (Surrender our lives to God). Only then we’ll grow into trees that will bear more seeds. And only then we’ll understand that “losing our life” for God’s sake  literally means “gaining it back”.

“He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.” – Matthew 10:39

3. Our life here on earth is about HIS-story. From the beginning to the end, everything that happened, happens and will happen shall reveal God’s glory. The day we were born to the day we lost our way home, tells about not our mistakes or failures but reveals the Grace of God in every step we make. Once we accepted Him in our lives, we already play a role in His story. He is the starring role! We are merely extras. Our names won’t be included in the credits. Our lives should be directed, produced&written by God!

So, let me ask you, little seed, are you willing to lose your life and find purpose in the end? or continue to work hard for your so called life and lose it in the end?

You are not a JUNK

Last week God gave me the opportunity to minister to a friend who I haven’t talked to for a long time. I buzzed him just to ask about some common friends we have but I believe the Holy Spirit led us to a conversation that will change our lives.

What will you do if a friend shares with you something about the sins he’s struggling with? What will you say?

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” – Romans 8:1

I saw this video and I believe this is the message God wants us all to hear.

A good example has more value than good advice.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

1 Timothy 4:12-16

Living a good life testimony is not as easy as you think… if you’re on your own. The year 2009 had been really tough for me. The struggle to be consistent with my spiritual walk became harder because I failed to hold on to His word religiously everyday. This is what happens when you start to entertain other things in your life which will later end up as wrong priorities. Instead of fixing your eyes unto Him, you get distracted. But this verse reminds me of how important it is to be diligent and faithful in all aspects of my life. Our life belongs to God ,therefore, it should also mirror “God”.

We give our best to our ministries to serve our King, but along the way, our efforts become an important moving force in other people’s lives.  People are saved just by listening or witnessing to one’s life story but they stumble too just by doing the same. You see, that’s where the Grace of God comes in. We can never be worthy to be called as “role models in faith” but we can be a living testimony of God’s grace. If you’re thinking that your life may be a piece of junk right now, “stop!”. Remember that your life is not all about you. Your life is a story of God’s grace.  It may be a piece of junk to you but the testimony of your life can lead someone to an eternal treasure in heaven.

A good example has more value than good advice.

Sharing Your Life’s Testimony

“John came to declare the truth about the light so that everyone

would become believers through his message.” – John 1:7

These are powerful images showing God’s captivating grace.

To see the intensify youth gather together, give everything they have, surrender their whole selves before the throne of God and cry out all their praises and worship to the King is indeed beautiful.

Just the thought of it, makes me shiver.  Our God is alive!  The Universe-Making God will never stop doing miracles, everyday! He provides for us everyday, takes care of us everyday, forgives us everyday, heals us everyday and loves us everyday. The whole world needs to know How God extends His hands of grace to your life and you can do that by sharing your testimony to others.

How has God become real and alive in our lives? One of the most effective means of being used of the Holy Spirit is to tell others what Jesus Christ has done in your life. It’s easier for people to receive from the Holy Spirit what you’ve got to say to them once they know what God has delivered you out of and from.

Why Share your testimony?

  • Give God the glory! When we testify of the things God has done in our lives, it is a form of praise and worship.  We are saying to the whole world, “It is not I who is great – It is Christ who is great in me!”  It turns everyones attention to the Lord and shows them His greatness.
  • Refuse to forget! When God brings us through a trial, as time passes, we can forget how much He has done.  Many Christians who have served the Lord for years do not remember the shape they were in when He first rescued them.  Telling your testimony humbles you as you recount God’s grace and mercy in your life.  It reminds you where your life would be if not for God’s matchless mercy and grace.
  • Inspire others! Your Christian testimony may be just what someone needs to weather their toughest storm. We have all been through trials.  And many of the battles God has already brought you through are being fought by other Christians even as you read these words.  When they read your story of victory through Christ, they know that He can do the same miracles in their lives.
  • Build your faith! If you are going through a trial, one of the best ways to build your faith is to think of something God has already brought you through.  It reminds you of His faithfulness in the past and gives you the strength to have faith for your future.

Sharing your testimony points everything to God.  It’s not all about you afterall. It’s not just your story but it is God’s story of grace.  We should not be ashamed to share our pains and mistakes from the past because what’s important is where God has put us today.

We are all called to spread the Word of Grace using our STORY.
